Revolutionary Double Gear Mechanism and Utility Patented Design Introduced in POPLOCK Tool's Pry Bar Program in 2016

SUMMARY OF INVENTION

The purpose of this invention is to create a device that controls the rotation of a tool in a more user-friendly manner and reduces the likelihood of the tool getting stuck during use. In addition, the invention aims to make the device easier and more cost-effective to manufacture and assemble. The device is made up of several parts including a handle, a tool head, two ratchet wheels, a spring, and two C-shaped snap rings. The handle has two parts that fit together during assembly, each with a hole in the middle. These holes have a ratchet edge on the inside and a groove around the inside. The tool head has two ends, a working end and a pivot end that fits between the two parts of the handle. The pivot end has a hole that lines up with the hole in the handle and has a ratchet edge on the inside. The two ratchet wheels fit between the handle parts and the pivot end of the tool head. They can be adjusted to be close together or farther apart. Each wheel has a ratchet edge on the outside, a groove on the inside, and a button on the outside. The ratchet edges can be engaged with the ratchet edge on the tool head or both ratchet edges on the handle. This allows for better control of the rotation of the tool and reduces the chances of the tool getting stuck during use.

The buttons on the outside of each ratchet wheel are smaller in size than the ratchet edges. When the wheels are close together, the ratchet edges engage with the ratchet edge on the tool head, allowing the handle and tool head to pivot. When the wheels are far apart, both ratchet edges engage with the handle, fixing the handle and tool head in place. A spring is placed between the ratchet wheels to keep them separated by default. Two C-shaped snap rings are placed in grooves on the handle, each with a hole for the ratchet wheel button and a surface to touch the ratchet edge. By pressing the ratchet wheels together against the spring, they can engage with the tool head and allow it to rotate. Both wheels are the same so they move together, preventing them from getting stuck and making it easier to use.
